How To: Fish Tail Braiding
Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas, and now were getting ready for the New Year! Can you believe it, 2011 is right around the corner! Robbie and I are still trying to figure out what were doing. Any plans for you?
With parties and get togethers, theres always a reason to dress up and do a new hair do! So this week we bing you: Fish Tail Braiding! This is something that I LOVED doing when I had long hair. Its the perfect braid that is spiced up and can be worn so many different ways. You can wear it casually, or with a fun cocktail dress, your choice! AND you girls with curly hair, you CAN do this too :)
For this one, all you need is a little bit of hairspray and a little bit of back combing (teasing) and a curling iron (If desired)
Our wonderful Beth (who is a stylist here as well) let us use her long locks, which turned out beautiful!
(I just re-read it...PLEASE let me know if the directions do not make sense. I tried to explain it as best as I could but...It's a lot easier to do and I'm not really good at explaining myself...as you can tell. So If you have any questions, let me know and i'll try to clarify as much as I can! Its really simple and has such a huge effect, so please, let me know :)

A memory to keep
Sometimes a simple collage of photographs is a perfect gift. This Christmas The Mollers and Watkins (who are related by the brother and sister, Jay and Shannon) decided to give their parents the gift of a memory. The memory of this very moment to keep forever.
Here is Jay and his wife Sarah
and their son, Cooper
This is Shannon and her husband
and their beautiful baby girl...
Their sons
Evan, Cooper, Logan
I'll end with this, because at that very moment, happiness was there.
Happy Tuesday

How to: Holiday Special- Up Do's
Happy Thursday everybody! Christmas is right around the corner! Literally! and with that comes Christmas parties! Oh how I love Christmas Parties... So for this weeks How To we are doing two different Holiday hair up do's. One for the more fancier put together girl, and another for a messy sassy chic type of girl.
The first one is the more put together up do, Kayla our receptionist is our model today, all you need is a little rubber band and you might want to check out the Teasing how to, because teasing is necessary in both of these.
The results.
This second one is what I like to call sweet and sexy. The messy up do/bun that takes 2 seconds and is still cute with a holiday dress and fun earrings. Emily is a stylist here and was awesome enough to let us use her hair.
The results:
So cute.
So there you have it ladies, you got two different looks that you can feel free to make your own! Try it and let me know if it works for you! Hope it inspires you to spice up your holiday hair!
Happy Thursday

Sweet Notes
Sometimes when you're feeling discouraged, God will find ways to encourage you at his right time. Even if it means a letter full of love written by your husband. Or words from people you work with. Have an open heart and keep your ears open, so you wont miss it. Our God always delivers, he will deliver. Even if it's not in your timing...It's always at the right moment.
Be encouraged.

Apple Pie
For thanksgiving our salon had a little thanksgiving feast, we were all suppose to bring a dish for us to feast on during the day. Now, you don't have to call me Betty Crocker or anything BUT I do do my own share of cooking. But since Alison signed up for the mac and cheese and Lindsay brought the canned green beans, I was out of options! So what did I do? I signed up for the apple pie.
I was proud. I was surprised. I was encouraged.
Until what's her face announced to the whole world that I found my apple pie in the frozen section of the grocery store. "I WAS DESPERATE!"
I'm not too sure what was worst... The fact that I came to the salon with my apple pie lying straight up saying it was mine Orrr.... That I struggled and tried so hard for 15 minutes trying to transfer the pie from the metal plate container it came in, to my new apple-pie pretty plate to make it look like I made it and accessorized it with a little butterfly and a name tag that reads "yummy yummy in my tummy"?
I'll let you decide.
