The sweetest Thing

Is having your mother. The memories as a child filling your head after a familiar smell. A childhood picture that brings warmth to your heart. The memories. If only we could just take those memories and put them on tape from our heads, we would watch them forever. I wish i had more pictures with my mother and family growing up, but I only have them in my head and heart. I hope these make you fill up with hope and love, and bring back your childhood and family's sweet memories. This family reminded me of all of that.

Or the advice and wisdom your mother gave you

Or just being young again

Or when you were hurt, your mom would be the first to make you feel better

A mother is a wonderful being. She is the core to our lives holding us together. Thank you mom's.

Morgan Ashley Featured in Glamour Magazine

Its one thing to work in a great wonderful amazing salon, but to work in one where your boss is so awesome and legit she gets asked to do hair for a big time magazine...Yeah. I love my job. I love that I'm surrounded by amazing opportunity and talent everyday. Glamour Magazine did a segment on Natalie Holloway. She was from a beautiful city called Mountain Brook, Alabama. They interview her best friends and talked about their happy day's with Natalie. They did the shoot here in Birmingham. Morgan was part of the shoot being a trooper while trying to do the hair in 100% humidity. Not easy she said.

Hello Fall. I've been anxiously waiting for you.

 

Its time to pull out those fall looks ladies.

(ok, you southerners probably think I'm a little crazy and ahead of myself since its 89 degrees today...none the less, the calender say's its fall soooooo....Don't judge me.)

Just a little Something

I have a couple brides that need a few things made for them...

on another not, say a little prayer for Grandma Ballentine, she had back surgery. 

Ps. She's the one that helped me sew allll the little heart favors, if it wasn't for her...I'd probably would have not had any favors! (pictured above, I use mine now as a pin pillow)

A st. Augustine Wedding Part 2

The reception was held on a rooftop overlooking the Atlantic waters. So beautiful. The weather was PERFECTION. Even with three hurricanes in the Atlantic. While and the bride and groom were off taking their pictures, we were being served cocktails and amazing shrimp, crab cakes, and some little thing full of perfection that had cream cheese. I may or may not have gotten full off of the appetizers. 

Right after the First Dance and some more mingling we were all escorted inside to this cute little brickwalled room full of elegance. The lighting was mainly candle light so these are just a few of the pictures i was able to take.

Soooo I don't have any dancing pictures because you better believe i was all up on that dance floor. Im pretty sure I broke my toe I broke it down so good.

A St. Augustine Wedding Part 1

This wedding can be described in 2 words. Beautiful and Fun. It was such a quaint intimate wedding, which made it memorable. Megan (which is another wonderful and talented stylist in our salon) was absolutely beautiful!  Her bridesmaids, her sister and friends, Lindsay and Samira (2 other stylist in our salon) were gorgeous as well! Now, by no means was I the photographer for her wedding, but me being me, I wanted to get a few shots here and there for the girls back at the salon that couldn't make it. So I had to be pretty careful with not getting in the way of the real photographer. But before she came, I got to pretend I was for the 'getting ready' time.

This is our persian princess Samira! She is a wonderful stylist that did all the make-up for the wedding

Soooo this is what happens when the bride is a stylist. She does hair on her wedding day. We can't help it.

The wedding ceremony was held right down the street in the oldest house
