Sneak Peek

Here is a little sneak peek of another shoot we did for the Salon. This is Rebecca. We found her at Anthropology. Can you tell?

Off to the side is Amy, another great stylist at the salon. We team tagged the hair for Rebecca, cut and color.

A Day In Atlanta

Robbie and I had to take my little sister back to the airport. All the way in Atlanta. Its a 2 hour drive from Birmingham so we decided to just make a trip out of it.

"I have a surprise for you, Joanna!" Robbie said excitedly when we arrived in Atlanta. What was it you say? Oh, he surprised me by taking me to the Coca Cola factory in Atlanta.

".........Um................."

 Thats what  I said. 

To my belief, I actually had a great time! We both did! There were 4D movies, commercial room, taste room, coke antiques, and other random stuff you can do there. Its a lot of fun and brings back memories of when I watched the coke commercials growing up.  Like the polar bear? remember him? And Santa Clause with the train during christmas? No? Just me? Ok.

FINE WE'RE NERDY LOSERS.

And I got to taste all the Coca Cola products from ALL over the world. South Africa had some good one's!

The best part was, we got to finish the day off with  eating a hot dog at the Braves game!

And peanuts of course :)

Quick Update

Instead of trying to explain where I've been or what I've been up to...I'll just show you.

Also, my husband finds me hilarious.

My little sister is in town!

Morning sun

I was woken up by slight movement next to me.  Followed by light seeping through the window. Our apartment is at a great angle, angled perfectly to get the brightness of the morning sun and the softness of the afternoon light. The rooms are filled with warmth. Full of boxes and leftover wedding stuff. We both trip over suitcases and random baskets as we get up from bed. We laugh and smile as we realize we're married as one and this morning was our first official day to our life. My heart has felt happiness before, but nothing like this. This is different. This is security, love, peace, peace, peace. Peace to know that we are on our way to a road full of fulfilling the glory of our God. A God that brought us together to wake up to morning like these. Mornings full of warmth and light, light that is strong enough to wake but soft enough to frame our little house apartment. Mornings that make my heart skip a few beats as I lay on my husbands chest. Mornings with JJ heller in the background as I sort this GIGANTIC mess of boxes in our living room. Mornings when I realize we got everything on our registry and we don't have room to put everything. Mornings where I feel overwhelming joy and blessings it pours out of my eyes. Mornings like this. 

I am so blessed. So blessed. Blessed.
